Admission to RIMC

Every Annual, the Rashtriya Military Indian College conducts a nationwide competitive examination known as the RIMC Entrance Exam, through which students from across the country are selected. This examination is held biannually in each state. Upon successful clearance of the entrance exam, candidates are required to undergo a medical fitness assessment for admission to the school. The institution admits approximately 50 students in two distinct intakes into Class 8th each year.

Eligibility

For admission to RIMC, it is important to note that your child should currently be in Class 7, and their age must fall between 11.5 to 13 years at the commencement of the term.

Examination

The entrance exams for Rashtriya Indian Military College involve a three-step process. The initial phase is the written examination, comprising three sections: English (125 Marks), Mathematics (200 Marks), and General Knowledge (75 marks). A minimum score of 50% is required in each subject for qualification.

In the subsequent stage, candidates successful in the written test undergo a Viva-Voce, a 50-mark interview assessing the child’s intelligence, personality and confidence. The third and concluding step involves a medical examination, which is crucial for final selection.
